Beggs to host baseball tournament this weekend

The 2023 Beggs Under Armour baseball tournament will take place this weekend at Golden Demon Park in Beggs.

Under Armour Classic to begin Thursday at 11 a.m.

The 2023 Beggs Under Armour baseball tournament will take place this weekend at Golden Demon Park in Beggs.

The 3-day event will begin Thursday at 11 a.m. with an opening-round matchup between the Holland Hall Dutch and the Morris Eagles.

The other first-round contests Thursday will pit the Kellyville Ponies against the Depew Hornets at 1:30 p.m., the Preston Pirates against the Holdenville Wolverines at 4 p.m., and the host Beggs Golden Demons against the Checotah Wildcats at 6:30 p.m.

Friday’s tournament action will begin with consolation semifinal games at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., respectively, followed by the winner’s bracket semifinal contests at 4 and 6:30 p.m., respectively.

Saturday’s final day of tournament action will get started at 11 a.m. with the consolation finals, followed by the third-place game at 1:30 p.m.

The championship game of the 2023 Beggs Under Armour Classic is scheduled to get underway at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
