The Wilson varsity basketball program closed out the home portion of their regular-season schedule this past Friday evening.

The final home opponent for the Tigers and Lady Tigers was the Eagles and Lady Eagles of Butner High School.

The host Lady Tigers began the home finale with a 58-22 victory, while the Tigers completed the sweep with an 88-21 decision in the nightcap.

The Wilson cage squads closed out their regular-season schedule Tuesday at Liberty-Mounds High School and will begin postseason play this weekend at Macomb High School.

The Lady Tigers are scheduled to battle the Mason Lady Eagles in an elimination game Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the Class B, Area II, District 5 tournament. A win over Mason will put the Wilson ladies into Saturday’s 6 p.m. district tournament title game against the winner of the other elimination game between the host Macomb Lady Hornets and Sasawka. A loss to Mason on Thursday will bring the Lady Tigers’ 2022-2023 season to a close.

The Tigers will begin postseason play Friday at 7:30 p.m. against the Sasakwa Vikings in an elimination game in the Class B, Area II, District 5 tournament.
