FFFCU, AARP provide free tax preparation assistance

AARP and First Family Federal Credit Union (FFFCU) are once again partnering to offer free tax preparation assistance.

AARP and First Family Federal Credit Union (FFFCU) are once again partnering to offer free tax preparation assistance.

“It’s that time of year again!” Shirley McCowan, AARP representative, said. “We are looking forward to seeing all again this year. The AARP and federal training have been completed and all counselors are certified to do your taxes.”

The tax aide site officially opens Feb. 1 at The Briefcase located at 313 W. Main Street in Henryetta.

Assistance will be available every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through April 12.

This year, appointments are not necessary as forms and information can be dropped off.

“Our policy this year is drop off, so appointments are not necessary unless there is a reason,” McCowan said.

Packets will be available in the lobby of First Family Federal Credit Union as well as at the Henryetta Public Library and The Briefcase on Wednesdays.

“As a reminder, this service is free of charge to all residents, regardless of membership to either entity,” McCowan added.

For more information, call 918-268-8676 and leave a message with your name, phone number and reason for your call. Someone will return your call shortly.
