A 16-year-old juvenile from Weleetka was killed in a one-vehicle accident on Sunday night around 9:47 p.m., one-tenth of a mile north of Weleetka near North Choctaw Avenue.

According to the accident report from Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Tim Baker of the Traffic Homicide Unit, what occurred, the condition of the driver and the cause of the collision remain under investigation.
The report states that the juvenile was a pedestrian and was struck by a 1992 Chevy pickup in which the driver is unknown.
The juvenile was transported by Creek Nation EMS to Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta and expired due to injuries.
No other information was contained in the report. Trooper Brian Scamardo, Trooper Stevie Perkins, Muskogee Tribal PD, Okfuskee County Sheriff ’s Office, Weleetka Police Department and Creek Nation EMS assisted with the investigation.
