Since the beginning of the 21st Century, the varsity football programs at Beggs and Dewar hold the two longest playoff appearance streaks in Okmulgee County.

The Beggs Golden Demons hold the record for consecutive playoff berths amongst the county gridiron squads at 15, while the Dewar Dragons are second on the list with 10-straight postseason appearances.

Since the 2000 season, Beggs has made a total of 20 playoff berths, missing the postseason in 2003, 2006, and 2007. In the past 23 seasons, Dewar has advanced past Week 10 a total of 17 times, missing postseason berths in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2009, and 2012.

In their last 15 postseason appearances, the Demons have reached as far as the quarterfinals a total of eight times (2010, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021), the semifinals five times (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021) and have played for the Gold Ball twice, finishing as the Class 3A state runner-up in 2017 and the Class 2A state runner-up in 2018.

The Beggs squad has had their playoff dreams dashed in the first round three times (2012, 2015,2016) and the second round four times (2008, 2009, 2011, 2022) in the last 15 seasons.

In the past 10 seasons, the Dragons have reached as far as the quarterfinals a total of seven times (2014,

2015, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022), the semifinals four times (2014, 2015,

2020, 2021), and have played for the Gold Ball once, capturing the Class B state championship in 2020.

In its last 10 playoff appearances, the Dewar gridiron squad has had their playoff dreams dashed in the first round twice (2013, 2016) and the second round just once (2017).

As for the other varsity football teams in Okmulgee County in the last 23 seasons, Morris is third with

11 playoff berths (2000, 2001, 2005,

2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012,

2018, 2020) and have had back-toback playoff appearances three times

(2000-2001, 2005-2007, 2009-2012).

Henryetta has reached the postseason a total of 10 times (opted out of

2020 playoffs due to COVID-19 pandemic) in the 21st Century (2001,

2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2015,

2016, 2020, 2022) and has had backto- back playoff appearances twice (2005-2007, 2015-2016). Okmulgee has reached earned a total of seven playoff appearances in the last 23 seasons (2000, 2002, 2003,

2009, 2013, 2016, 2020) and has had back-to-back playoff appearances once (2002-2003).
