Jones appointed Interim Executive Director
Henryetta Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors approved Bruce Jones as Interim Executive Director until a new director is in place during their regular meeting on Monday.
Sandy Warschaw, organizer of the Henryetta Mule & Donkey Days, was recognized as having joined the Chamber last month.
She announced the 2nd Annual Henryetta Mule & Donkey Days will be held Oct. 28-29, 2023 at Nichols Park in Henryetta and discussed sponsorship briefly.
Minutes of the Oct. 17 and November special meetings were tabled.
The annual Chamber Banquet is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 20 at the Henryetta Civic Center.
Harvey Q’s will cater the event. Tickets will be available and ready to be purchased following the Christmas holiday.
Beautification Committee Chair Jeremy Roberts noted how wonderful Main Street is looking.
David Dykes, Main Street Development Chair, said the number of empty buildings on Main Street has lessened.
“I would like to encourage everyone to visit downtown and shop local,” he said.
Retail and Special Events Co-Chairs, Valerie Mosco and Kelly Dobson, announced the Henryetta Chamber Hallmark Christmas event was a resounding success.
“We saw a profit of just over $1,000,” Mosco said. “Next year, we will be even more profitable and will be bigger and even better. More than anything, we just want the community to come together.”
Under new business, it was announced that Fountain View Manor would be hosting an Open House in celebration of 55 years in business on Wednesday, Dec. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome to this come and go event.
No other business was discussed and the meeting adjourned.
