Bunyan Johnson, Henryetta High School Alternative Education teacher and Boys Basketball Coach, was the featured guest speaker during Wednesday’s meeting of the Henryetta Rotary Club.
He discussed the current basketball season, noting the boys are playing pretty good ball.
“Our boys played extremely hard,” Johnson said. “They beat Vian Tuesday night in the last game before Christmas break.”
Over the break, Johnson plans several practice sessions in preparation for the Henryetta Tournament set for Jan. 5-7 where the boys open with Bristow.
“I’m excited to see what this season holds for our boys,” Johnson said.
There have been several parents and members of the community comment that they really enjoy watching the team play, he noted.
A few questions were presented to Johnson by Rotary Club members to conclude the discussion.
Henryetta Rotary Club President Shannon Frair noted that there would be no meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
