Political Party: Independent Hometown: Enid Current Town: Cleo Springs Candidate Background: Woods is proposing a “Reboot Amendment.” The proposed amendment would give each state one year to pass legislation to bring the government of issues — like the health care system, Medicare or Social Security — back to the state, and would void laws passed by Congress.
What are the top three most pressing issues facing rural Oklahoma? How would you address these issues if elected?
1. The healthcare system. We’ve let the insurance companies and the pharmaceutical companies control things to the point to where we’ve really got a third world health care system.

It’s unbelievable the number of people that have this big debt thrown upon their shoulders, and sometimes it lasts throughout their working career, because they just can’t make enough to pay it off,” Woods said. “It shouldn’t be that way.
