Preston releases 2022-23 varsity cage schedule

Pirates, Lady Pirates open campaign Nov. 4 at home

Oklahoma public schools that do not feature football teams have the privilege of starting their high school basketball seasons as soon as November 1.

For Preston High School, the Okmulgee County school will begin its 2022-2023 varsity basketball campaign in three weeks (November 4) with a home meeting with the Okarche Warriors and Lady Warriors. The season opener will get started with girls action at 6:30 p.m. followed by the boys contest at approximately 8 p.m.

The Pirates and Lady Pirates will also be at home the following Friday (November 11), hosting the Dale Pirates and Lady Pirates, beginning with the girls game at 6 p.m. The boys game will follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The Preston cage squads will close out their first month of cage action November 15 with their first road game of 2022-2023, traveling to Pittsburg, OK for a meeting with the Pittsburg Panthers and Lady Panthers, who compete in Class B.
