Okmulgee County residents who were affected by severe storms and flooding May 2-8 have until the end of day today, Wednesday, Sept. 28 to file for federal disaster assistance.
Assistance provided could include aid with rent, home repair and replacements, vehicle repair or replacement, funeral expenses, medical or dental and other expenses resulting from the disaster.
Options on how to apply include:
• Visit DisasterAssistance.gov, available 24 hours a day, and submit an application.
• Contact the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) helpline at 800-621-3362. The helpline is available until 10 p.m.
