Okmulgee County Commissioner for District 3, Dan Artussee, recently announced the completion of a chip and seal road project near Schulter.
Repairs were completed from Conifer Road north on 230 Road last Wednesday.
“It's a mile of new surfacing on a roadway that has a high traffic rate,” Artussee said. “The project was proposed by the previous commissioner and I felt obligated to the community to carry out the planned road repair.”
According to him, conditions are ideal for major road repairs as hot and dry weather continues.
District 3 crews are working hard as they progress on roadways within the county as plans are being carried out daily.
Artussee asked that anyone with a concern or problem should contact him at the county barn at 918-6524474.
“I will try to address every concern and be fair to everyone in District 3,” he said. “It takes time and money to do repairs and we have a good gameplan for our district. I am proud of our workers. They are really working hard every day.”
