Dewar Public Schools recently announced entries for the Big Buck Contest Fundraiser to benefit Dewar Baseball are due by Saturday, Oct. 1.

Open to adults and youth ages 15 and under, the contest will provide an array of prizes.

Prizes include deer mounts, ice chests, game cameras, feeders, gift cards, free shoulder mount and many more.

Scoring day will be on Jan. 21, 2023 beginning at 11 a.m.

Rules of the contest are as follows:

• This contest and all rules are subject to the laws and hunting regulations of the State of Oklahoma. All contestants must be legally permitted to take deer in accordances with 2022 Oklahoma hunting regulations. Deer scored are required to have a 2022 Oklahoma Carcass Tag and antlers must be attached to the skull or skull plate.

• A clear and highly visible picture of the deer must be submitted showing the deer’s antlers. All deer with a paid entry will be scored if brought to the official scoring ceremony.

• In the event a tie occurs, a winner will be determined by the date and time of entry submission.

• No high-fence and no out-of-state deer harvests are allowed.

• Dewar Baseball, Dewar Public Schools and their sponsors are not responsible for any injuries or accidents that occur from participating in the contest or related events.

• Any antlered deer may be entered, regardless of gender.

• Only deer harvested during the 2022 season are eligible for prizes.

Forms can be picked up in the office at Dewar Public School.

The cost of each entry is $25.

Entry fee along with submission form can be dropped off at Dewar Public School or mailed to 204 E. 5th St., Dewar, OK 74431. All checks must clear before an entry is official.

All funds raised will go to benefit Dewar Baseball equipment and other items for the school year.
