Youth Night

Tulledega Hills Music Theater will host a Youth Night on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m.

The event will feature Henryetta Nazarene Youth Band.

Members of the youth band include Jordan Cass, lead vocalist and guitar; Erin Chew, keyboard and vocals; Jacob Brewer, drums; Tyler Tarwater, bass guitar; Ellianna Cole, Samantha Mustin, Paige Long and Landon Brewer, vocals.

Admission is free and a love offering will be taken.

County Youth Services Annual Meeting

Okmulgee-Okfuskee County Youth Services, Inc. will host an annual meeting of its board of directors on Monday, Sept. 26.

The meeting will be held at Anne Moroney Youth Services located at 1950 N. Okmulgee Ave. at 5:30 p.m.

Primary purpose of the meeting is to elect officers of the board of directors.

Agendas are available at the Okmulgee County Courthouse on the first floor or at 1950 N. Okmulgee Ave. and at 219 W. Broadway in Okemah.

Okmulgee-Okfuskee County Youth Services, Inc. offers both individual and family counseling as well as consultation and advocacy programs and youth and parent and youth education classes to families as well as youth.

Oct. 1

Dewar Harvest Festival

Dewar Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Vendors can sign up at Dewar Town Hall from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Spaces for vendors are $20. If you signed up to be a vendor last year, you do not have to pay vendor fees this year.

There will be games, music, bounce houses and more.

Cruise Knight

Henryetta’s Fall Cruise Knight will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. between 3rd and 8th streets on Main Street.

Oct. 7-9

Dewar Town Wide Sale

Dewar’s Fall Town-Wide Yard Sale will be held Oct. 7 through Oct. 9. Yard sale permits will not be required for that weekend only.

Henryetta Mule & Donkey Days

A first annual Henryetta Mule & Donkey Days and Mule Jump & Trade Day is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22 and Sunday, Oct. 23.

The event will kick off with a parade down Main Street.

In the event there is inclement weather, the dates will be changed to Oct. 29 and Oct. 30.

Nov. 4-6

AHRMA Vintage Nationals

T&S Racing will host their annual AHRMA Vintage Nationals Friday, Nov. 4 through Sunday, Nov. 6 at Nichols Park in Henryetta.

Elderly Nutrition Meals

MC Nutrition Services located at 211 S. 11th Street in Henryetta provides meals to those ages 60 and older Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a $1.50 donation.

All senior citizens in the community are encouraged to join in a nutricious and dellicious meal.

'Rez Recovery” Saturdays

'Rez Recovery' AA meetings with Casey Thomas will be held every Saturday at 4 p.m. at Tulledega Hills Theater located at 3000 W. Main Street in Henryetta.

Worn Flags Sought

Henryetta Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 539 is currently collecting used and worn flags that will be properly disposed of during a flag retirement ceremony that is to be announced sometime in the future.

Flags can be dropped off at the Henryetta Free-Lance office located at 302 W. Main Street.

“Instead of throwing away your American flag,” Post 539 Vice Commander Hugh “Rooster” Jackson said, “bring them to the Free-Lance office so we can provide a suitable retirement.”

Community Breakfast

Tulledega Masonic Lodge No. 201 in Henryetta will host a Community Breakfast on the third Saturday of each month.

Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. for $8 per person.

NA Recovery Group

Henryetta Nazarene’s New Life Recovery Group will host NA meetings on Thursday nights at 7 p.m.

Meetings will be held in the Youth Building at the church located at 7th and Trudgeon.

Freedom Warriors NA Meetings

Joy In Life Freedom Warriors will host NA meetings every Monday at 7 p.m. at 611 E. Trudgeon in Henryetta.

“You don’t have to battle alone,” Pastor James Page said. “Come connect on Monday nights and gain the strength to succeed.”

Those attending should enter the building through the glass door entrance.

County Election Board Meeting Dates

Okmulgee County Election Board recently announced regular scheduled meeting dates for 2022.

All meetings are held at the Okmulgee County Election Board Office at 314 W. 7th Street in Room 102 in Okmulgee.

Upcoming meeting dates and times include: Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. and Nov. 11 at 4 p.m.

Henryetta Church of Christ hosts their Food Bank on the second Thursday of every month from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The church is located at 413 W. Broadway.

FCC Food Pantry

First Christian Church of Henryetta will host a Food Pantry on the third Tuesday of each month starting at 10 a.m. “Nobody in Henryetta should go hungry.” FCC is located at 412 N. 5th Street.

Computer Giveaway by PC Memories, Inc.

PC Memories, Inc., a non-profit corporation, donates refurbished desktop and laptop computers to low income families with children as well as adults, seniors and veterans who live in Okmulgee County.
