The Morris Eagles have hired veteran coach Jimmy Whitlock as their new Athletic Director.

Whitlock is a graduate of East Central University and has had success everywhere he has coached from Seminole, Gore, Checotah, and recently, Eufaula, where he helped lead the Ironheads to a 12-2 mark.

“Leaving Eufaula was a very difficult decision,” Whitlock said. “The kids, staff, administration, and school board are second to none. This community holds a very special place in my heart and will be forever grateful to Coach Newton for giving me the privilege to coach at Eufaula. Becoming an athletic director has been a goal of mine for a long time. After talking it over with my family, we came to the conclusion that accepting the position at Morris was an opportunity I could not pass on.”
