Community invited to attend
American Exchange Bank (AEB) Chief Executive Officer and former President, Terri Thompson will retire on Aug. 31 with over 44 years of service to the bank and the community.
Her career at AEB began in February of 1978 as a Proof Operator. Since that time, she has been a bookkeeping department head, internal auditor, marketing officer, compliance officer and loan officer.
On April 1, 2014, Thompson became the first female President and CEO of AEB.
Along with her responsibilities to AEB, she also served the banking community, as well as the local community, in the following capacities: Henryetta Business and Professional Women’s President, Rotarian President and Treasurer, Girl Scouts Little House Board Secretary, Oklahoma Bankers Association Board of Directors and Southeastern Oklahoma Bankers Association President.
She currently serves on the Community Bankers Association of Oklahoma’s Board of Directors, Hillcrest Hospital Community Board of Directors and the American Exchange Bank Board of Directors.
“I’ve had an amazing career at American Exchange Bank,” Thompson said. “I will truly miss the AEB team and all of my customers.”
“Terri has served our bank for many years in various capacities and has set a great precedent for the future of the bank,” Keith Hare, AEB President, said. “We would like to extend an invitation to all of her friends, family and customers to come to the bank and help us celebrate her retirement with a farewell party at the Henryetta branch on Friday, Aug. 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.”
