Okmulgee to hold fastpitch tourney

Annual 3-day event to begin Thursday at 3 p.m.

Okmulgee High School will hold its annual fastpitch softball tournament this weekend.

The 12-team tournament will be split into four 3-team Pools with two Pools competing on Thursday and the other two Pools opening tournament action on Friday.

After two days of Pool Play, the final day of the 3-day event will feature bracket play, beginning at 9 a.m.

Pool Play for the annual tournament will get started at 3 p.m. each day.

Pool A will consist of Kiefer, Wagoner, and Hulbert. Pool B will feature Gore, Capitol Hill, and the host Okmulgee Lady Bulldogs. Pool C will consist of Liberty (Mounds), Catoosa, and Checotah. Pool D will feature Preston, Bishop Kelley, and Warner.

Thursday’s Pool Play action will begin at 3 p.m. and will feature the three teams from Pool B, while the three teams from Pool A will begin Pool Play action at 6 p.m.

The three teams from Pool C will begin Friday’s Pool Play schedule, beginning at 3 p.m. followed by Pool D’s Pool Play schedule, beginning at 6 p.m.
