HPS provides back-to-school info

Henryetta Public Schools (HPS) recently announced important back-to-school dates and information for the 2022-2023 school year.

Henryetta Public Schools (HPS) recently announced important back-to-school dates and information for the 2022-2023 school year.

A Middle School and High School Virtual Academy meeting will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

On Sunday, Aug. 2, FCA will host a Prayer Walk at 6 p.m. among four groups at the Early Childhood Center, Elementary School, High School and Middle School. In addition, a Back-to-School Bash and cookout follows at 6:30 p.m. at the high school.

Schedule of events for Tuesday, Aug. 9 include:

• 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Open House at all buildings.

• 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. - 6th Grade Orientation in the high school cafeteria.

• 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Freshman Orientation in the high school auditorium.

During the Open House, all elementary students who ride an afternoon bus route or the same bus route must fill out a bus information slip at the front desk of the elementary building.

New elementary students who plan to ride a bus should visit with transportation personnel in the Henryetta Elementary Library.

The first day of school will be Thursday, Aug. 11.
