Dewar Summer Feeding Program
Dewar Public Schools will participate in the 2022 Summer Feeding Program.
The program, available to children ages one to 18, includes free breakfast and lunch.
Meals will be distributed every Wednesday starting May 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. between Dewar Head Start and Dewar Middle School buildings by a drive-thru.
Five breakfast and lunches for the week for each child along with milk and juice will be passed out.

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser
Tulledega Hills Music Theater and Vittles Food Ministry will host a Ministry Fundraiser Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, June 24 and Saturday, June 25.
The event will be held at 3000 W. Main Street in Henryetta from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
Each dinner includes spaghetti, salad, garlic bread and a drink for $10. Pick up and delivery will be available by calling 918-707-0343.
All funds raised will go to benefit Tulledega Hills Theater and Vittles Food Ministry, non-profit organizations.

Schulter All-School Reunion
A 2022 Schulter All-School Reunion will be Saturday, June 25 in the school cafeteria at 2 p.m.

Youth Night
Tulledega Hills Music Theater, located at 3000 W. Main Street in Henryetta, will host a Youth Night with Winnie & Tyler on Saturday, June 25 at 7 p.m.
Featured special guest will be Ava Rose Johnson, 15-year-old Nashville recording artist, singer and songwriter who is an Oklahoma Osage and Cherokee native.
Johnson will begin her Freshman year at Eufaula High School in August.

Henryetta R/C Aviators Meeting
Henryetta R/C Aviators will host their monthly meeting on Saturday, July 9 at 10 a.m. at Shoney’s Restaurant located at 601 E. Main Street in Henryetta.

Wrestling Camp
Henryetta Knights Wrestling Club will host a 2nd annual Skills and Drills Youth Wrestling Camp on Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16 in the Henryetta High School gym.
Participants who sign-up by or before July 2 will also receive a custom t-shirt.
Camp counselors will be Joey Prata, Keegan Moore, Willie McDougald and Madison Byroads.
Cost to each participant is $50 and includes lunch.
The two-day schedule is as follows:
FRIDAY
• 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. – Check-in.
• 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Session 1 (neutral).
• 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. – Session 2 (referee down).
• 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Session 3 (referee top and leg riding).
SATURDAY
• 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Session 1 (neutral).
• 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. – Session 2 (referee down).
• 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Session 3 (referee top and leg riding).

First Annual Eagle Open
Morris Booster Club will host the first annual Eagle Open Golf Tournament on Saturday, July 16 at 10 a.m. at the Henryetta Golf Club.
Prizes will be awarded for first and second place.
There will be a Four-Person Scramble with entry fees of $100 per person or $400 per team.
Entry fees include green fee, cart, hats, goodie bags, lunch, beverages and contest.
Rainouts are considered donations.
All proceeds will go to benefit the Morris Booster Club in support of Morris athletics and are tax deductible.

Oklahoma Heart Institute Life Line Screening
Life Line Screening, sponsored by Oklahoma Heart Institute, will host an affordable screening event on Monday, July 25 at First United Methodist Church in Henryetta.
Those attending will learn about their risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other chronic, serious conditions.

Shoes, Socks & Books!
First Presbyterian Church of Okmulgee will host their annual Shoes, Socks and Books! giveaway on Saturday, Aug. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade students.
The child must be present and an adult must be with the child to receive the shoes, socks and books.

Henryetta Mock Trial Law Team will host a Movie Night Fundraiser on Friday, Aug. 12 at 6 p.m. in the Henryetta High School auditorium.

Henryetta Mule & Donkey Days
A first annual Henryetta Mule & Donkey Days and Mule Jump & Trade Day is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22 and Sunday, Oct. 23.
The event will kick off with a parade down Main Street.
In the event there is inclement weather, the dates will be changed to Oct. 29 and Oct. 30.

Worn Flags Sought
Henryetta Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 539 is currently collecting used and worn flags that will be properly disposed of during an upcoming flag retirement ceremony.
Flags can be dropped off at the Henryetta Free-Lance office located at 302 W. Main Street.
“Instead of throwing away your American flag,” Post 539 Vice Commander Hugh “Rooster” Jackson said, “bring them to the Free-Lance office so we can provide a suitable retirement.”

Community Breakfast
Tulledega Masonic Lodge No. 201 in Henryetta will host a Community Breakfast on the third Saturday of each month.
Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. for $8 per person.

NA Recovery Group
Henryetta Nazarene’s New Life Recovery Group will host NA meetings on Thursday nights at 7 p.m.
Meetings will be held in the Youth Building at the church located at 7th and Trudgeon.
The meetings are open to anyone struggling with addiction or family members of those struggling.
Freedom Warriors NA Meetings
Joy In Life Freedom Warriors will host NA meetings every Monday at 7 p.m. at 611 E. Trudgeon in Henryetta.

County Election Board Meeting Dates
Okmulgee County Election Board recently announced regular scheduled meeting dates for 2022.
All meetings are held at the Okmulgee County Election Board Office at 314 W. 7th Street in Room 102 in Okmulgee.
Upcoming meeting dates and times include: June 28 at 3 p.m., July 1 at 4 p.m., Aug. 23 at 5 p.m., Aug. 26 at 4 p.m., Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. and Nov. 11 at 4 p.m.

Henryetta Church of Christ hosts their Food Bank on the second Thursday of every month from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The church is located at 413 W. Broadway.
FCC Food Pantry
First Christian Church of Henryetta will host a Food Pantry on the third Tuesday of each month starting at 10 a.m. “Nobody in Henryetta should go hungry.” FCC is located at 412 N. 5th Street.
Computer Giveaway by PC Memories, Inc.
PC Memories, Inc., a non-profit corporation, donates refurbished desktop and laptop computers to low income families with children as well as adults, seniors and veterans who live in Okmulgee County.
