National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) Chapter 730 will meet at Shoney‘s Restaurant in Henryetta on Thursday, March 10.
Special guest will be Lori Coplin.
Coplin began serving in the Okfuskee County Election Board in 2007 as the
Chief Clerk and was appointed the County Election Board Secretary in 2008.
After six years, she served as the Land Deputy in the County Clerk's office before running for the office of the County Treasurer.
In 2015, Coplin was sworn in as the Okfuskee County Treasurer.
At the start of 2016, the tax roll was made available to the public via a website, giving taxpayers the opportunity to view and pay taxes online and the capability to pay taxes using a credit or debit card or electronic check.
The treasurer's office was also converted from paper ledger accounting practices into an electronic accounting software program that allows smoother reporting to all county offices.
Coplin has served on the Okemah Public School Foundation for 16 years and is a board member of the Summer Kids Cafe/You Can! Inc.
She and husband Todd have six children and 14 grandchildren.
All active and retired federal employees and guests are invited to attend.
Shoney’s Restaurant is located at 610 E. Main Street.
