As a part of Read Across America, Henryetta Elementary School (HES) will celebrate Dr. Seuss Week Monday, Feb. 28 through Friday, March 4 with daily themes.
Themes for the week will include:
• Monday – I Can Read with My Eyes Shut (Wear a t-shirt with a message and crazy sunglasses). “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
• Tuesday – Oh the Places You Will Go (Wear favorite team apparel). “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.”
• Wednesday – The Sleep Book (Wear pajamas day) and Dr. Seuss’ Birthday.
• Thursday – The Cat in the Hat (Wear a favorite hat). “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”
• Friday – Fox in Sox Dress (Dress wacky and wear mismatched socks). “I like nonsense; it wakes up the brain cells.”
