A Henryetta man is facing assault charges after running over a person following a fight.
On Saturday evening, Feb. 5, Henryetta Police Department responded to a call in the area of 8th and Cummings of a vehicle that had ran over a male subject. Upon arriving at the scene,
Upon arriving at the scene, the investigating officer noted a fence damaged in the 700 block of Cummings.
The victim, later identified as Jason Greenwood, was being transported by Okmulgee County EMS due to serious leg injuries.
After speaking with witnesses, the driver of the vehicle was identified as Floyd Dalton Price, 63. He reportedly ran over the victim and then left the scene.
Police were able to make contact with Price at a home on West Jefferson. He was taken to the police headquarters.
During the investigation, it was determined that an argument with the victim led to a fight, with the suspect then getting in his truck, running over the victim and then leaving the scene.
The victim was later transported by Life Flight to a Tulsa hospital.
Price was booked into the Okmulgee County Jail on complaints of Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Leaving the Scene Resulting in Injury. Bond was set at $35,000.
He is due in Okmulgee County District Court for an initial appearance on Feb. 16.
