Henryetta Chamber of Commerce discussed the annual Santa Bucks giveaway, this year named Hometown Holiday Tour, during their monthly meeting on Monday at Shoney’s.
According to Chamber Executive Director Ron Richmond, there were six people who participated and qualified to have their names drawn.
In order to qualify for Santa Bucks drawings, participants were required to make five separate purchases at five of the 12 participating businesses and have a card punched after purchase.
A certificate of membership was presented to Jason Gorman, newest chamber member, with J’s Landscaping.

In other action, Jeremy Roberts was nominated and elected 2022 President-Elect.
• Economic Development – Keith Estes reported the property located at 5th and Trudgeon was purchased by Henryetta Economic Development Authority (HEDA). The property will be used for additional parking for visitors to the downtown area. Estes also announced HEDA has commercial property available on the west end of the city in the area of the former Hungry Traveler Restaurant. • Ambassador & Tourism – Bruce
Jones noted that the annual Chamber Christmas Parade was a large success this year with many residents and visitors in attendance.
• Main Street Development – David Dykes reminded members that the caboose near Skate Park was decorated for the holidays.
• Rodeo – Mark Hiatt announced everything is on schedule for the upcoming Spring Rodeo that will be held the first weekend in June. He said the stock contractors are “good to go.” • Beautification – Jeremy Roberts
discussed the possibility of installing street signs around the city to show off the pride and continuity of Henryetta. More research and planning will continue on beautification efforts.
• Annual Banquet – Shawn Okerson announced the next meeting of the Chamber Banquet Committee is planned for Jan. 4. The banquet is scheduled to be held on Feb. 21 at the Henryetta Civic Center. More information will be available as the event nears.
• Street Lighting – Lyle Stogner is in talks with PSO engineers regarding existing poles and how to proceed with updates.
Results of the Jim Shoulders Living Legends Rodeo were made available and are as follows:
Income – Gate, $14,452; Concession, $5,257.53; Sponsors, $20,025; WPRA Award, $500 and Vendors, $35 for a total of $40,269.53.
Expenses – Concession, $2,295.83; EMS, $250; WPRA, $200; PRCA, $1,000; Specialt Acts, $5,800; Stock Contractor, $9,500; PRCA, $12,400; Sign Truck, $240; Banner, $133.75; Port-a-johns, $375; Printing, $97.14 and Motel Rooms, $76.50 for a total of $32,368.22.
The amount of profit totaled $7,401.31 and was added to the General Fund.
Other agenda items approved included:
