Newly hired Okmulgee assistant baseball coach Bill Springman will be conducting a 2-day hitting clinic December 28 and 29 at the Okmulgee Public Schools Hitting Facility, located at Bateman Park in Okmulgee.
Newly hired Okmulgee assistant baseball coach Bill Springman will be conducting a 2-day hitting clinic December 28 and 29 at the Okmulgee Public Schools Hitting Facility, located at Bateman Park in Okmulgee.
The 2-day event is limited enrollment and pre-registration is required to attend.
There will be two sessions each day of the clinic.
Paricipants, ages 8-12 years of age, will take part in the clinic from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., while participants, ages 13-18 years of age, will receive their lessons from 1-3 p.m.
Springman, who spent 17 years coaching at MLB Spring Training and also serving as a hitting coach for Major League Baseball, Chinese Professional Baseball League, and Taiwan Major League in 2017, an Organizational Hitting Coach for the Detroit Tigers from 2018-2021, and was a Hitting Supervisor/Player Development for the World Series Champion Kansas City Royals in 2015, has mentored over 150 Major League hitters, including David Ortiz and Torii Hunter.
