Native American Heritage Month was celebrated at Henryetta Elementary School (HES) on Nov. 19. It was a day to educate and celebrate Native American culture and history with interactive activities, story telling, presentations and make-and-takes. Tribal royalty in attendance shared information about tribal regalia and the significance of "Rock Your Mocs" Day. Kindergarten and first grade students also had a “Rock Your Mocs” coloring contest.
