Okmulgee County Democratic Central Committee is finalizing plans for the first annual “Living Legends Banquet."
The event will launch the first major fundraiser for the current election cycle.
This year's honorees will be State Senator Frank Shurden and State Representative M.C. Leist.
The banquet will be held Saturday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer Parish Hall located at 213 North Seminole in Okmulgee.

“We are pleased to give this recognition to Sen. Shurden and Rep. Leist for their distinguished service to our county and state,” Okmulgee County Democratic Party Chair Rae Ann Wilson said.
Scheduled meetings of the Okmulgee County Democratic Party (OCDP) are held the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the OSUIT Student Union Building.
