Okmulgee County Election Board Secretary Ashley Carnes reminds voters the Special General Election for County Commissioner District 3 will be held next Tuesday, Nov. 9 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Early voting will be held on Thursday, Nov. 4 and Friday, Nov. 6 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“The calendars for 2021 showed an incorrect election date of Nov. 2,” Carnes said. “The County Election Board has received several calls about the Special General Election.”
Polling places across the county were notified and asked to place a sign on their front door stating the correct election day is Nov. 9, she said.
During an odd number year, elections are held on the second Tuesday of the month.
