Mrs. C.P. Shockley entertained Friday evening in honor of her daughter, Martha, it being her birthday. The Halloween idea was carried out in the decorations and in the refreshments of brick ice cream, cake and candy which were served at the close of the evening. Mrs. Shockley was assisted in serving by Mrs. Emmet O’Kane and Mrs. Ben Eastin. The honoree received many pretty birthday gifts. The evening was spent in playing games and dancing.
