Road conditions the past few days, along with the cold, has caused problems for residents.
The Okmulgee County Courthouse, along with the County Health Department was closed Wednesday and Thursday. Many businesses closed early due to the perilous conditions.
County schools that were not already on distance learning moved to that platform for the safety of students and staff. Most all athletic activities were cancelled.
The 54th annual Okmulgee County Spring Livestock Show was scheduled to begin yesterday, but has now been moved to Feb. 18.
All times remain the same, except for the chicken and broiler show, which is now on Saturday, Feb. 20.

The Young Farmers and Ranchers Pancake Breakfast has also been moved to Feb. 20 to coincide with the sale.
