Henryetta Blood Drive surpasses goal
The Henryetta community came out with pride to help save lives during the Dec. 23 Blood Drive held at The Briefcase, according to Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) Drive Organizer Lucy Laird. OBI’s goal was to collect 22 units of blood, but total blood collected was just over 30 units of blood. Among those donating was Henryetta Board of Education member Brandi Brown (above). “Thank you for stepping up to donate,” Laird said. “There were 31 donors - each one of them saving up to three lives!” Giving blood donations during this time is crucial as the pandemic has seriously impacted blood supplies.
