A resignation letter from Martha Richerson, effective Oct. 23, was approved by the Henryetta Board of Education at their regular meeting on Monday evening.
Richerson is a paraprofessional at Henryetta Elementary School. Last year, she was a paraprofessional at the Early Childhood Center.
Board members also approved fundraisers.
Minutes of the Sept. 14 regular and Sept. 24 special meetings were reviewed and approved.
Other agenda items approved by board members included:
• Encumbrances and financial reports for 2020-2021;
• Transfer of $15,200 in funds from Athletics to football, softball, track/cross country and middle school and high school cheer;
• Emergency Policy and Procedures Plan for 2020-2021.
No reports were given for HESA, HEA, principals, athletic director or the maintenance director.
Board member comments included:
Pam Bealko – Excited to see all the students back and hopefully the plans we have put in place will keep everyone safe and in school.
David Bullard – Excited to have everyone back and stay safe.
James Williams – Also excited to see everyone back. He said the softball girls did a great job at the tournament. It was great seeing the bus drive down main street for the tournament send-off.
“From what I saw, everything went smooth for the first day back on campus,” Superintendent Dwayne Noble said. “I’m excited to see everyone back.”
Board members in attendance were Misty Southerland, Pam Bealko, David Bullard, Brandi Brown and James Williams.
