Henryetta Free-Lance (HFL) is proud to welcome Jacob Factor as new sports editor.
Factor attended Booker T. Washington, Pawhuska, Skiatook and Sapulpa high schools, graduating from Sapulpa High School.
He attended Oklahoma Baptist University, majored in Journalism and Mass Communications and got his start in news writing.
“My first job was an internship my freshman year at the Luther Register,” Factor said. “Then I went on to be features and news editor of my school paper, The Bison.”
During his junior year, Factor covered sports for the first time at the Countywide and Sun, and sports quickly became one of his favorite things to cover.
“Going from game to game, seeing the highs and lows of each different team and being on the sidelines to snap that one special moment with my camera, is all just such fun,” he said.
After working at the Countywide, Factor interned at the Sequoyah County Times in Sallisaw and worked part-time at the McIntosh County Democrat in Checotah.

We know he will provide excellent sports coverage for our southern Okmulgee County teams.”
