Quarantine hobbies are encouraged

Hi everyone! For this month's story, I’m changing it up a little bit.

Hi everyone! For this month's story, I’m changing it up a little bit.

With all the changes that we have had to endure since March, I know that some of you guys may be a little stressed and upset, myself included, but I’ve found that it’s important to keep a positive outlook on everything and just know that everything will soon get better.

Since I’ve been quarantined to my house, with very few outings, I’ve taken up a few hobbies to keep me busy and to take my mind off of everything.

Here are some of the quarantine activities that I’ve taken up!

One of my favorite activities is reading.

Yes, I know that it may be a very basic answer, but once I find a good book it’s impossible to put it down.

At the beginning of the year, I made it a point to read more, but I always used my busy life as an excuse not to pick up a book.

Now that I’m home most of the time, it’s given me the chance to read so many books that I forgot I even had!

It’s a great way to take your mind off of everything and get lost in what you're reading.

Another hobby I’ve been doing a lot of work getting better at is photo editing and learning about the different techniques used to get a perfect picture.

I’ve played around with some of my previous pictures from livestock shows and have made them look even better than before.

I always try to make my pictures have the best quality possible, but never really learned about how I could until now.

I have also been taught how to make my own watermark for my photography business that I hope to launch this year!

My last hobby is cooking and baking.

I have been doing a lot more cooking for dinner and making dessert, if we have all the ingredients.

It’s something that I enjoy doing and it lets you be creative with what you make.

I usually grill out steaks, chicken, pork patties and hotdogs while my sister will cook the vegetables.

Sometimes I might surprise my family with brownies or cupcakes for dessert as well.

Not only is it fun, but it’s also a more healthy alternative to eating out and it’s cheaper as well.

Those are just a few things that I’ve been doing to keep myself positive and stress-free through all of this, because I know that we will be facing many more new challenges.

Thank you for reading about some of my hobbies and I hope to have inspired you to pick up your own activity as well!
