June 30 unofficial Primary Election results announced

Unofficial results for Okmulgee County for the June 30 State Primary Election were just announced by the Oklahoma State Election Board.

Unofficial results for Okmulgee County for the June 30 State Primary Election were just announced by the Oklahoma State Election Board.

Results in county are as follows:

-- CORPORATION COMMISSIONER

Todd Hiett was the popular choice with 177 votes or 70.52%. Harold Spradling received 74 votes or 29.48%.

-- U.S. REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT 2

Markwayne Mullin received 208 votes or 75.64%. Joseph Silk followed with 51 votes or 18.55%. Rhonda Hopkins received 16 votes for 5.82%.

-- U.S. REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT 24

Logan J. Phillips received 87 votes or 68.5% followed by Sam Stamper with 28 votes (22.05%), Elijah Harelson with 7 votes (5.51%) and John Andy Baca with 5 votes (3.94%).

-- UNITED STATES SENATOR

Abby Broyles received 241 votes with 61.95% followed by Elysabeth Britt with 70 votes (17.99%), Sheila Bilyeu with 43 votes (11.05%) and R.O. Joe Cassity, Jr. With 35 votes (9%).

-- OKMULGEE COUNTY COMMISSIONER DISTRICT 2

Receiving 56 votes for 38.62% was R.C. Morrow followed closely by David Earhart with 46 votes (31.72%) and Steve Ward with 43 votes (29.66%).

-- STATE QUESTION 802 INITIATIVE PETITION NO. 419

There were 492 votes (72.57%) for the proposition and 186 votes (27.43%) opposed to the proposition.

-- MORRIS PUBLIC SCHOOLS OFFICE NO. 5

Kendall Warren received 41 votes (64.06%) compared to Philip G. Ward who received 23 votes (35.94%).
