The list of teachers hired included: Mary Beltran (1/2 day), Jamie Brandt, Price Brown, Rick Duncan, Bobbie Fox, Jay Fox, Christie Heaslet, Joni Howk, Dalena Malone, Sam Malone, Rick Myers, Cheryl Petsh (temporary contract), Jeana Price (temporary contract) and Patricia Robbins (part-time two days per week).
Support staff hired included: Deb Wells (custodian, maintenance, grounds, 12-month contract); Chelsye Brown (teacher’s aide, 180-day contract); Tanna Lay (teacher’s aide, 180-day contract); Bonita Frederick (secretary/activity fund co-custodian/treasurer/payroll clerk, 12 to 20 hours per week); Carol Pollard (cafeteria manager/head cook, 190-day contract) and Nikki Naida (cafeteria employee, 180 days).
Board members approved hiring Renee Callahan for an additional 12 days, ending May 25.
After Superintendent Allen Callahan’s recommendation to host traditional graduation services in compliance with state regulations on Friday, July 10, board members approved the recommendation.
Warrants and claims for the General Fund and Building Fund were approved.
Minutes of the April 6 regular board meeting were reviewed and accepted.
Board members entered into executive session to discuss three applicants for the position of Superintendent, High School Principal and AD for Schulter Public Schools beginning July 1.
A special board meeting will be held tonight-May 13 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss hiring for the position.
