However, there is a number of us, who still have and drive our cars and attend elsewhere.
It is comforting to know – if or when you need such – it is available.
I’m thinking we never get too old or outgrow our need and desire to worship our Creator and Savior.
This being Sunday afternoon – possibly Happy Hour has already started.
Happy Hour is a nice, long nap after the big fried chicken dinner!
I must tell you this funny I heard recently.
An older gentleman was enjoying the first day of his long-awaited cruise. He just happened to notice this attractive, smiling lady about his age.
Then – strangely enough – they ended up at the same table for dinner that evening. So, he told her how he appreciated her kind smile earlier.
She replied, “The reason I smiled was – when I saw you, I was so surprised at how much you look like my third husband.”
Naturally, he said, “And how many have you been married to?”
She looked down at her dinner plate – smiled sweetly again and said, “Twice!”
So never underestimate the power of a smile!
Remember a smile costs nothing, but gives much. It enriches those who receive, without making poorer those who give them.
It brings rest to the weary and cheers to the discouraged.
As Nat King Cole tells us in his song – “Just smile.”
