A fast-paced first quarter ended in the Tigers' favor with junior Asa Mitchell and senior Cobey Sellers leading a 20-point scoring streak. Mitchell hit a pair of 3's and scored a pair of 2's, contributing half of the Tigers' double digit boost. Sellers posted up for a pair of 2's and was accompanied by junior Michael Conard, who also scored a pair of 2's. Having a slow start, Thompson chimed in to score one bucket. The Dragons could only make it to the basket for five points, which allowed the Tigers to claim a 20-5 lead.
Establishing a 15-point advantage, the Tigers went on another double digit scoring streak in the second quarter. Thompson took over the reigns and busted out five 2's and Mitchell scored his third 2-pointer. The Dragons revived their offense to score 10 points, but the Tigers' earlier lead stayed intact until the end of the first half, 33-15.
Thompson and Conard busted out a 17-point scoring barrage that sealed the Tigers' power over the Dragons in the second half. Making it to the basket for another four 2-pointers, Thompson helped kickstart the double digit boost. Conard contributed three 2's and Mitchell chimed in with a 2-pointer.
Hanna hit a 14-point scoring streak, showing the Tigers' defensive downfall. The Dragons scored two 3's and three 2's. Fouls helped the Dragons cut into the Tigers' lead, 50-29.
Their offensive efforts from the first quarter, paired with Conard, Thompson and Mitchell's 2-point shot allowed the Tigers to seal their victory in the fourth quarter. Tiger Andrew Been sunk a pair of 3's and had help from Sellers, who scored a bucket and a 3-pointer. Mitchell also hit his third 3-pointer, helping the Tigers reach their 66-45 victory over the Dragons.
