He is currently being held on a $51,500 bond and will have his initial court date on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m.
“We arrived at the apartment and began to clear the rooms, while clearing the residence I observed a broken window [and] and dresser on the floor with glass and blood on it,” a Henryetta PD officer stated in district court documents.
After discovering Huddleston had been injured, officers made contact with the suspect, who had wounds on his arms, chest and back.
Huddelston had attempted to break into an apartment while the resident was inside.
The resident was watching television when a loud crash came from another room in the apartment. Discovering Huddleston shirtless laying across a dresser that had fallen over, the resident yelled and proceeded to call the police.
EMS was called to the scene to assist Huddleston with the injuries he received in the process of robbing the apartment.
Huddleston then proceeded to run away from the scene, towards Kings Road. Officers were eventually able to apprehend him once again, but in the process an officer injured his knee.
Huddleston has previously been held and pled guilty on charges of Obtaining Merchandise by Bogus Check, Petit Larceny and Knowingly Concealing Stolen Property.
He was on probation at the time of the burglary due to his guilty plea of Knowingly Concealing Stolen Property.
