Two Henryetta juveniles and one Bartlesville woman were injured in a triple-vehicle accident on Nov. 28 at 9:24 p.m. on the Indian National Turnpike, five miles south of Henryetta according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Trooper Christ Dennis.
Three vehicles were involved in the accident: Vehicle one, a 2014 Chevrolet car driven by a 17-year-old Henryetta male (name withheld); a 2004 Chevrolet van driven by 61-year-old George DeJean of Bartlesville and a 2007 Ford pickup (unoccupied).
Trooper Dennis reported that vehicle three was involved in a previous collision. The driver of the vehicle exited another vehicle to check on occupants of an additional vehicle when the unoccupied vehicle was struck by both the first and second vehicles.
A 17-year-old female passenger in the 2014 Chevrolet was transported by Okmulgee EMS to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa where she was admitted in stable condition with arm injuries.
The driver of the car was pinned for 15 minutes, having been freed by the Henryetta Fire Department. He was transported by Okmulgee EMS to Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta where he was treated and released. A third passenger in the car, a 15-year-old male of Henryetta, refused treatment at the scene.
DeJean, the driver of the second vehicle, was uninjured while his passenger, 56-year-old Terresa DeJean of Bartlesville was transported by Okmulgee EMS to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was admitted in stable condition with leg injuries.
The condition of the drivers in vehicles one and two were listed as apparently normal and the cause of collision was under investigation.
Seatbelts were equipped in both vehicles and in use by all occupants.
Weather conditions were rainy.
Trooper Kevin Goldsby, Henryetta Fire Department, Dustin Fire Department and Okmulgee Emergency Management assisted Trooper Dennis with the accident.
