Laurence Anholt, English author and illustrator of children’s picture books to adult fiction was born on August 4th, 1959 in London, United Kingdom. After he married and they had three children they tried to find a way to support their family while being with their children. Laurence’s dad wasn’t always around and he wanted to be there for everything with his own kids. He has had the help of his wife Catherine in some of his books where he writes words and she does illustrations. He has moved from children picture books to full length novels. We have his (B-2) books: Eco-Wolf and the Three Pigs; Foolish Jack and the Bean Stack; Ghostyshocks and the Three Scares; Little Red Riding Wolf; Rumply Crumply Stinky Pin; Shampoozel; Snow White and the Seven Aliens.
Frank Asch, American children’s author best known for his Moonbear picture books was born in Somerville, New Jersey August 6th, 1946. He had an older brother and sister. He graduated from Cooper Union in New York City, has worked as a teacher, organizes workshops for children, had his first picture book published in 1968, married and has one son who is following in his dad’s footsteps as a writer/illustrator. Frank and his wife divide their time living between Vermont and Hawaii. We have his B-2 books: Bear Shadow; Bear’s Bargain; Milk and Cookies; Popcorn.
