An unknown person was injured in a one-vehicle accident on June 10 at 7:50 p.m. on I-40 eastbound, four miles east of Henryetta.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Trooper Brad Giulioli reported what occurred and the cause of the collision is under investigation.
A 2015 Volvo semi driven by 62-year-old Jianping Xiao of Corona, Calif. was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
Pending next of kin notification, OHP withheld the name and address of a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported by Air Evac to St. John Hospital in Tulsa with head, trunk external and trunk internal injuries and was admitted in stable condition.
Roadway conditions were dry and the weather was clear.
Assisting with the investigation were Trooper Sean Haney, Henryetta Fire Department, Okmulgee County EMS, Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office, McIntosh County Emergency Management and Air Evac.
