Kyia Monahwee, an intern at Creek Recreation and former Lady Eagle, is hosting a free softball clinic for girls ranging from nine-years-old to 16. The Playmaker Softball Clinic will have two days where the first 50 girls can receive training and coaching from Monahwee, who was named to the NJCAA Region 2 All-Region Team. She also led her conference in home runs, earning 16 this season, and also in RBIs with
63. Attendees will learn the basics of softball and gain new skills in the sport. Camps are set for Wednesday, July 17 and Thursday, July 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both days are completely free and open to the first 50 players. Water will be provided to players, but players must bring their own lunch. Creek Recreation also advises players to bring their own glove, ball and helmet.
