Henryetta Chamber of Commerce Rodeo Committee would like to extend a huge “thank you” to the Henryetta Economic Development Authority and the City Council for their support of the replacement
Henryetta Chamber of Commerce Rodeo Committee would like to extend a huge “thank you” to the Henryetta Economic Development Authority and the City Council for their support of the replacement equipment at the Jim Shoulders Living Legends Arena at Nichols Park.
Chamber Executive Director Roy Madden said a plan to maximize the arena lighting is also being worked on.
“We have previously upgraded the light fixtures and other electrical components,” Madden said, “However, we will now take the next step and upgrade to new LED lighting.”
Madden noted that the chamber also added new bleachers and made other improvements to the facility.
This year marks the 26th anniversary of the Jim Shoulders Living Legends Rodeo and it is now sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).
“This sanctioning takes Henryetta’s rodeo program to the top professional level in rodeo. Thanks to our sponsors, the City of Henryetta, the public and a dedicated rodeo committee, we have been able to up our game, if you will,” Madden said.
If you are not currently a rodeo sponsor, the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce would like you to consider becoming associated with the program and invites you to join the sponsorship family.
“Sponsoring the 2019 Living Legends PRCA Rodeo also assures the bonus sponsorship, at no additional cost, of the 2020 Jim Shoulders Round Up Rodeo.
