Twenty-five available beds are being added to the Patrick E. Moore Detention Facility in Okmulgee. According to Okmulgee County Jail Director Sam McCoy, the jail is not undergoing major construction.
Twenty-five available beds are being added to the Patrick E. Moore Detention Facility in Okmulgee. According to Okmulgee County Jail Director Sam McCoy, the jail is not undergoing major construction.
Instead, workers are adding to an area which was built oversized. The decision was reached last week during the Okmulgee County Commissioners executive session.
Agenda items approved by commissioners included:
• Officers’ Reports including Sheriff’s Office from February 2018 in the amount of $42,433.17, Sheriff’s Office from May in the amount of $57,093.40 and Election Board for the month of May in the amount of $3,049.57.
• Blanket Purchase Order including Unifirst Holdings for District 1 in the amount of $700.
• Juvenile Detention Agreement for 2019-2020 Fiscal Year for the following counties: Beckham, Woodward and Texas.
• Resolution to dispose of equipment including a Whirlpool window unit from the county commissioner’s office.
• Renewal of Drug Court Contract for 2019-2020 Fiscal Year.
• Invitation to Bid #16 for hauling of gravel materials for six-month period.
• Monthly appropriations.
