During the Monday meeting of the Okmulgee County Commissioners, Tim Craighton, Okmulgee County Emergency Management (OCEM) Director and 911 Communications Director announced he met with FEMA officials that morning to discuss the damage caused by the flooding experienced earlier this month.
Craighton wishes to remind residents to make sure they contact the OCEM office to report any damage received during the storms.
Okmulgee County Commissioners approved the following agenda items:
• Officer Reports for the month of May - Assessors Office in the amount of $9,079.29.
• Employee Acknowledgments Forms - Gus Gordon from District 1 ceasing employment.
• Award of Bid #14 for road materials for a six-month period based on the recommendation of the purchasing agent.
• Award of Bid #15 for weekly/monthly rental of smooth drum roller and/or track-hoe for a six-month period.
• Detention Transportation Contract for OJA. This is an annual renewal contract for transportation of juveniles which is done by the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office.
• Contract for Juvenile Detention Services for LeFlore County. This is a yearly contract between the two counties.
• Reimbursement claim for expenditures of District Attorney’s Office for the month of May in the amount of $348.28.
• Reimbursement claim for Election Board Secretary’s salary for the month of May in the amount of $4,032.68.
Two follow-up audits where tabled due to no one from the state audit board attending the meeting.
Tabled items were:
• Possible approval for the State Auditor and Inspector’s Office to engage in a Regulatory audit with Okmulgee County for the Fiscal year 2016-2017, along with the designation of Official(s) to overseer the FY17 Federal and Financial Statements.
• Possible approval for the State Auditor and Inspector’s Office to engage in a Regulatory audit with Okmulgee County for the Fiscal year 2017-2018, along with the designation of Official(s) to overseer the FY18 Federal and Financial Statements.
