Guest speaker at the June 5 meeting of the Henryetta Rotary Club was First Family Federal Credit Union (FFFCU) Financial Counselor Amber Pippin.
Pippin discussed the upcoming FFFCU program, “Budget or Bust,” for students in 6th through 12th grades.
Budget or Bust will be held on Monday, July 15 and July 22 for 6th through 8th graders and Tuesday, July 16 and July 23 for 9th through 12th graders from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Each session will be held at FFFCU’s Briefcase Business Center at 315 W. Main in Henryetta. Pippin will go over budget sheets and savings with participating students as well as activity planning and costs. “I’m going to try and make this program as fun as possible,” Pippin said. “A few films will be shown during the sessions.” More in-depth budgeting and a mini reality fair will be explained to the high school age group. Pizza and goodie bags will be provided. Registration forms are available online at firstfamilyfcu.com or by visiting 402 E. Main or 315 W. Main in Henryetta. Deadline for registration is Saturday, June 29.
