Muscogee Creek Nation is hosting a free junior tennis clinic for children ages 8 to 18 Saturday, June 8. The clinic is open to any child interested in learning what it takes to play tennis. Check-in will be from 8:30-9 a.m. at the Okmulgee City Tennis Courts located at Hawthorne Park, 1237 N. Okmulgee Avenue. No matter what skill set, children who want to learn the game of tennis can come out and learn a variety of skills and the fundamentals of tennis. The clinic is a structured program for junior players who will be coached by professional tennis instructor Judi Fenner from Edmond. Children will be supplied with rackets, tennis balls and snacks and water throughout the clinic. However, participants are encouraged to bring an extra t-shirt, towel, sunscreen, flip flops, cap and a water bottle. It is also reccommended children wear tennis shoes to the clinic. Pre-registration is available until June 7. The Muscogee Creek Nation is also preparing the MCNFestival Tennis Tournament June 15 and 16.
