Henryetta Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 539 will hold a Flag Drive to raise money to purcahse new flags due to wear and tear of current flags. Service life of each flag is between three and four years, then they need to be replaced. Cost to replace each worn flag is $1.25. “Please assist us to honor our veterans who have given all,” VFW Flag Chairman Hugh Jackson said. VFW members will accept donations at Homeland and the west entrance of Walmart on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Every Memorial Day, VFW places over 2,300 flags at area cemeteries in honor of veterans.
