The commissioner’s also discussed the proposed modifications to the District Attorney’s office space.
D.A. Carol Iski informed the panel the department received a grant in order to hire another attorney for the office. They hope to have another attorney hired within the next two to three weeks.
However, there is now an issue of where to have space for the additional person. A proposed plan is to build extra office space in the back of the Bogus Check Division. All action has been tabled until further research into the construction can be completed.
