The Henryetta Lady Knight slowpitch softball team came away with a split decision earlier this week.
The Lady Knights suffered a 30-22 defeat to county rival Preston Monday evening on their home field, then traveled to Davenport Tuesday and walked away with a 20-0 shutout win over the Davenport Lady Bulldogs.
The Henryetta diamond squad currently sits at 15-7 on the year and ranked 11th in 4A, heading into the Firelake Festival Thursday and Friday in Shawnee.
The Lady Knights will close out their regular-season schedule with away games at Kellyville and Oktaha Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
Monday's road game will be a 3-team showdown against Kellyville and Barnsdall, beginning at 5 p.m.
Tuesday's regular-season finale with Oktaha is scheduled to get started at 4:30 p.m.
In Monday's county battle at Henryetta, both county squads tallied two runs in their half of the first.
After a scoreless second and top of third, the Lady Knights plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the third to take over the lead at 4-2.
An 11-run fourth put Preston back in front, 13-4, while Henryetta pushed across eight runs in the bottom of the frame to make it a 13-12 contest after four innings of action.
The Lady Knights went back in front, 17-13, with a 5-run fifth, then Preston erupted for 17 runs in the top of the sixth to regain the lead, 30-17.
The Henryetta ladies were only able to manage five runs in the bottom of the sixth to award the Preston Lady Pirates the 30-22 victory.
The top hitter for the Lady Knights was Avery Miller, who went 4 for 4 with two singles, a pair of home runs, and 5 RBIs. Miller's home runs came on a 2-run shot in the first and a solo shot in the fourth.
Jalynn Joslin (3 for 5, 2 singles, double, 3 RBIs), Lauren Lee (3 for 3, single, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs), and Hulleah Wincle (3 for 4, 2 singles, home run, 2 RBIs) were next offensively for Henryetta with three hits apiece. Lee's roundtrippers came on a 2-run shot in the third and a 3-run shot in the fourth, while Wincle's home run came on a 2-run blast in the sixth.
Other Henryetta batters with multi-hit games against Preston were Kasedi Gobin (2 for 5, 2 singles, RBI), Mattie Blackbear (2 for 5, single, double, RBI), Katelyn Dwiggins (2 for 4, 2 singles), and Lexi Lollis (2 for 4, single, home run, 3 RBIs) with two hits each. Lollis' roundtripper came on a solo shot in the sixth.
The final two hits for the Lady Knights in the county showdown came on a solo home run in the fourth by Autumn Blackbear and a solo home run in the sixth by Kaylie Hamric.

The Henryetta defense kept the host Lady Bulldogs off the scoreboard in the bottom of the third to award the Henryetta diamond squad the 20-0, run-rule, victory.
The Lady Knights totaled 17 hits in Tuesday's contest, led by the duo of Avery Miller (3 for 4, 2 singles, double, 5 RBIs) and Mattie Blackbear (3 for 4, 2 singles, double, 2 RBIs) with three hits apiece.
The other Henryetta batters with multi-hit games against Davenport were Autumn Blackbear (2 for 4, single, home run, 7 RBIs), Katelyn Dwiggins (2 for 2, single, double, RBI), Hulleah Wincle (2 for 3, 2 singles, RBI), and Emily Smith (2 for 3, 2 singles) with two hits each. Blackbear's home run came on a Grand Slam in the 11-run second.
