Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt presented several highlights of the Oklahoma Transportation Commission’s meeting on April 1.
Among the highlights were several projects planned in Okmulgee County over the next few years.
According to Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) 8-year plan, several projects in the county will include:
- Hwy. 75 and Hwy. 16 bridge and approaches 9.84 miles north of Okmulgee will be repaired with an estimated cost of $6.2 million in 2021.
- Preston Road intersection modification, 7 miles north of the Hwy. 62 east junction, right-of-way and utilities with a cost of $10.75 million starting in 2021.
- Pavement rehabilitation on South Oklahoma Avenue in Okmulgee to Hwy. 75 at a cost of $400,000 in 2020.
- Hwy. 75 from three miles south of Hwy. 62 East, north three miles and from one mile south of Hwy. 62 East, north one mile for pavement rehabilitation with a cost of $1.5 million in 2025.
- Hwy. 75 from the Hwy. 266 junction, north four miles for resurfacing at a cost of $5 million in 2024.
- Bridges over Coal Creek and KO and GRR (abandoned) 0.74 miles and 1.2 miles north of I-40 at a cost of $4,714,251 in 2019.
